Centerfold recognition
One of my wood creations has been featured in a local magazine called Kingston Life.
The bowl is a Manitoba Maple bark on natural edge bowl. It has a striking figure. You can see a better view of this bowl in a previous post entitled "Bowl for local magazine".
Now I know how it feels to have a picture right on the center fold.
Studio taking shape
Here is the "garage" with all the siding in place. Just awaiting final inspection (and the eavestroughs - gutters for those of you in the rest of the world)
The pipes on the side are the utilities - phone, water and electricity.
Cement mixer is ready to complete some rock retaining walls beside the driveway.

Workshop progress.
Excavators had to come back and dig a little deeper. Then the footings were poured and the concrete walls poured on top of that.
All framed and ready for the roof.

Bowl for the local magazine.
Here is a picture of a bowl featured in our local Kingston monthly tourist magazine. Always nice to get a little recognition.
This bowl from some box elder with lots of burl figure and red colour. Bark is intact too.
